More than 10 reasons bakit in demand ang PUP graduates

By: - 04/23/2018

Attitude

According to Lenard de Vera, HR director ng isang BPO firm: “They are preferred because, one, attitude. Unlike those from Ateneo or DLSU they are not afraid to roll their sleeves and get down to work. PUP students are not easily fazed by adversities.”

“Second, they have a good capacity to learn on the job. May diskarte,” ayon pa kay de Vera.

Good capacity to learn the job, hardworking

Ayon naman kay Len Gabrieles, isa ring HR officer mula sa multi-media firm: “PUP graduates are mostly hardworing and very persistent in reaching their goals. They don’t normally hop from one employer to another.”

Persistent

Kahit maging si Mac Bergantin, HR officer na author din ng artikulong “Atenean, this is probably why you’re not getting hired” na lumabas sa Esquire magazine ang naniniwalang may kakaibang attitude ang mga batang nagsipagtapos sa PUP.

Drive, Sincerity

“The difference lies in their attitude. These kids who did not have the privilege of going to prestigious schools are out to prove themselves, they have a drive and sincerity like no other. They are humble, patient, and hungry for knowledge and recognition.

Grit without the ego

“They are humble, patient, and hungry for knowledge and recognition. They have the grit without the ego. Whatever they supposedly lacked in college, they make up with enthusiasm and the desire to learn,” dagdag pa ni Bergantin.

Di maarte, no sense of entitlement

“Wala kasi tayong sense of entitlement,” ayon kay Anne Tiangco, dating editor ng People’s Journal.
