JK Labajo, Quest say yes to Reggae singer Idol Philippines reject

By: - 05/15/2019

As the saying goes “never judge a book by its cover”.  You’ll never know the surprise it might bring you.
At kakaiba nga naman talaga ang dinala na surprise ng 21-year old singer contestant na si Luke Baylon nang sya ay kumanta ng reggae version ng “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys sa Idol Philippines.
His performance stirred mixed reactions and eventually led to serious discussions from viewers and singers tungkol sa voting criteria ng mga judges.
Kinuwestyon ng netizens ang pag-no nila James Reid, Moira dela Torre at Vice Ganda kay Baylon.

Aside from Regine Velasquez who gave him a yes, singer Juan Karlos Labajo also gave him a thumbs up.
Labajo also voiced out his opinion on his Instagram account via story. He said, “it’s a yes for me, I’m not even gonna argue with the other judges. It’s easy to fix flats and sharps and such imperfections but it’s not that easy to find soul.”

At shinare din ng singer na ang contestant ay nag cover na din ng kanyang kanta ‘Buwan’, in reggae version ulit, prior to Idol Philippines. He expressed how amazed and impressed he was of the rendition and was ashamed that such potential would go to a waste. While Reggae is the least preferred genre in the Philippines, uniqueness naman talaga ang hinahanap ng Idol Philippines, diba?

Singer/rapper Quest also said on his Twitter account na gusto nyang makatrabaho si Baylon and shared his thoughts sa audition nya sa Idol Philippines.
