By: - 05/15/2019

Ayon sa International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) mayroon na lamang 180 to 500 mature Philippine Eagles na natitira.

Idinedeklara ni dating Pangulong Fidel V. Ramos sa bisa ng Proclamation 615, series of 1995,  ang Philippine Eagle bilang country’s national bird “whose uniqueness, strength, power, and love for freedom, exemplifies the Filipino people.”

“The Philippine Eagle offers immense ecological, aesthetic, educational, historical, recreational and scientific value to the Philippines and the Filipino people,” nakasulat pa sa proklamasyon.
