Round Trip

A director’s cut: Coffee plus movies

By: - 05/21/2019

LIGHTS, camera… but first, coffee.

We usually perk up our day with a cup or a mug of coffee. At nagiging productive tayo with the aid of this drink kahit sa kalagitnaan ng maalinsangan na araw.

Round Trip just found one of the chillest spots to have coffee with friends or loved ones. It is also a good place for a get-to-know-each-other-date: The Director’s Cafe. It is located at Unit F, 1059 Estrada St., Manila.

Now showing: The Director’s Cafe

Fun fact: Why Director’s Café ang name nito? It is because isang film director ang may-ari nito, si Nix Bernal at one of her popular works is ‘Nik-Nik’ starring Mercedes Cabral.

Simple lang ang theme ng  Director’s Café, opting to go with minimal details for a director’s club feel katulad ng marquee-style display for the menu, collections of cameras and other tools of a director and movie posters are displayed on the walls.

Marquee style menu

Assortment of DVDs available to watch.

Hindi rin kalakihan ang cafe. In fact, iilan lang ang chairs and tables sa loob nito, kaya ang arrangement ay first-come-first-serve basis. But they are planning to add more.

The main attraction ay ang kanilang mini theater, where a customer can watch movies. Meron silang collection of DVD’s to choose from. There are comfortable pillows lying around the well-carpeted floors where you can comfortably sit and watch.

Watch a movie in this comfy, carpeted pillow fortress.

Kailangan mo lang ng ticket kasi no ticket means no entry. And yes, you don’t have to purchase your ticket. All you have to do is order at least P100 worth of food and drinks per person. Or if you want a private viewing all by yourself or with friends, you can have the place for P1,500 with P1,000 consumable.

DIRECTOR’S DRINKS

Pag pasok mo palang, makikita mo na ang variety of drinks they are offering. From coffee to non-coffee, walang problema. Siyempre, tinanong namin kung ano ang director’s pick.

Green coffee (P90)

Health conscious? Go for something green.

Gusto mo ng kape pero ayaw mo mag palpitate masyado? Then you need to choose this bitter-sweet blend ng kapeng ito.

Grenadine Pomegranate (P69-79)

Cool of with this Italian Soda.

Categorized under Italian Soda, this drink is cool and refreshing that fizzles the taste bud with that carbonated drink
aftertaste.

Double Choco Frappe (P95-110)

Double the fun with the Director’s Choice, Double Choco Frappe

Ka-level ng favorite n’yo na coffee shop. That’s the best description we can say about this. Well balanced taste
na hindi aaray ang inyong wallet.

Latte Irish (P90-100)

Iced Irish Latte keeps the badtrip away

The right caffeine kick for a hot day, this iced coffee flavor coffee is both refreshing and a great boost to keep the day’s hassle at bay.
