IT’S a great year for superheroes.
Matapos ianunsyo ng Marvel ang kanilang projects for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hindi naman magpapatalo ang counterpart nito na DC as they vamp out their line up para sa darating na mga bagong superheroes…on TV.
Set in the Arrowverse (from the same universe as the TV shows Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl), Batwoman is the newest in a long line of DC’s TV superheroes.
To be played by Orange is The New Black actor Ruby Rose, Batwoman is the first TV show that features an out LGBTQ superhero.
Si Batwoman or Kate Kane, ay isang anak ng private military security head na si Jacob Kane at pinsan ni Bruce Wayne. After Batman mysteriously vanished, criminals have overrun Gotham City. After a series of events kung saan na-kidnap ng isang gang ang kanyang girlfriend, nagdecide si Kate na may gawin sa rising criminal activity sa Gotham and took on the mantle of her missing cousin’s cape as Batwoman.
The 33-year old gender-fluid actress who came out as a lesbian at the age of 12, is hoping that her character will let viewers know that they are not alone.
Batwoman is set to premier on October at CW.
