“There should be [resignations] out of delicadeza,” ani Castelo. “Heads will roll here, we cannot be just an international embarrassment. Those running the airport should be held accountable administratively, civilly, if not criminally. An in depth and comprehensive investigation should be done to avoid another similar incident. The lack of foresight, absence of contingency and the unavailability of crane, and no emergency plan should be addressed now.”
“I thought that the situation would normalize already when the flights resumed only to find out that there were more problems than when the airport was closed. All available space in the terminal 1 building was full of angry, frustrated passengers.”
“Even simple flight monitors to indicate the gate assignments of airlines were not functioning, leaving the passengers guessing on the status of their flights. It was really total chaos and clear lack of efficient crisis management at NAIA” ani Evardone.
