Severe tropical storm, LPA binabantayan ng PAGASA

ISANG severe tropical storm ang inaasahang papasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility sa Miyerkules.

Maaari namang maging isang bagyo ang binabantayang low pressure area ng Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration sa loob ng dalawang araw.

Sa inilabas ng advisory ng PAGASA, ang bagyo na may international name na Mangkhut ay nasa layong 3,255 kilometro sa silangan ng katimugang Luzon. Mayroon itong hangin na umaabot sa 110 kilometro bawat oras ang bilis at pagbugsong 135 kilometro bawat oras.

Umuusad ito sa bilis na 35 kilometro bawat oras at patungong Mariana Islands.

“Mangkhut may enter PAR on Wednesday,” saad ng PAGASA.

Ang LPA naman ay nasa layong 145 kilometro sa hilagang silangan ng Basco, Batanes. “The LPA may develop into a Tropical Depression within 24 to 36 hours.”

Magdadala ng pag-ulan sa Cagayan, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga at Ilocos Region ang LPA.
