Two things would easily pop into your mind kapag pinag-usapan ang España Boulevard sa Maynila: UST at baha. Isa ang España sa bahaing lugar sa Maynila and almost every time na baha rito, walang pasok ang UST.
But lo and behold! There are a lot of things could be associated with España these days dahil sa mga go-to places na tambayan ng mga estudyante and working people as well.
And because of that, we could honestly say that this can be your new eat street destination.

1
Santorini
981 P. Noval St., Sampaloc, Manila
It sounds too Greek, but did you know na isang affordable Korean/Japanese eatery ito na malapit sa UST?
The place is crowded — na ang ibig sabihin “bentable” talaga ito pagdating sa kanilang mga inio-offer na food. K-fans will surely enjoy the place.

Tuna Roll Gimbap – P120

2
Chiquitos
1001 Tolentino St., Sampaloc, Manila
A modest restaurant that offers great tasting chicken meals, Napaka pro-Choice nila: Choice of thigh, drumstick or chop at pati na din choice ng sauce to accompany your fried chicken from soy-garlic, gravy, cheese and garlic, buffalo, hickory barbecue and spicy sauce. All rice meals comes with free iced tea.

Cheese & Garlic Thigh
P85

3

Coffee Indulgence
1051 P. Noval St., Sampaloc, Manila
Medyo masikip at dim ang lights dito, pero tahimik naman if you are looking for a place to keep up with your study, o di kaya naman mag chill after a long day sa school o trabaho.

Iced Caramel Machiatto
– P85

4
The Hidden Geek Bistro
Room 104, GF, Dioresa Plaza Bldg., Dapitan St., Sampaloc, Manila
Hidden Geek Bistro is a bit literal kasi medyo mahirap talagang hanapin ito. But it provides signs naman so eventually mahahanap mo rin ito.
At kapag nakita mo na ito, tiyak na matutuwa ang mga anime/game loving hearts sa kanilang theme that would bring out the kid in you.

Nachos and pitcher of iced tea – P180

Other places to visit

5. D’Cream
P. Noval St., Sampaloc, Manila
Ayon sa kanilang buyers, real cream ang gamit nila kaya sila pinipilihan. Bukod pa sa masarap na drinks, affordable din.

6. Bully Buffalo Wing Bar
1203 I. Delos Reyes St., Sampaloc, Manila
Sulit at affordable ang kanilang bufallo wings na hindi mo dapat palagpasin.

7. Homework’s by Hanakotoba
1229 Delos Reyes corner P. Noval St., Sampaloc, Manila
Medyo pricey ang menu because the restaurants and eatery near them is less expensive, but the place is neat, tahimik at you get your money’s worth.

8. Neatflicks Nails and Waxing Joint
1019 Tolentino St., Sampaloc, Manila
Yep, you read that right. Kaya bukod sa Netflix and chill why not Neatflicks and chill kasama ang iyong girlkada for a much needed pampering sesh?

9. Merch District
1019 Tolentino St., Sampaloc, Manila
Need a new outfit? Silip tayo sa Merch District right beside Neatflicks para sa bagong pangrampa mo sa catwalk of life.

10. Acustica Bistro and Lounge
2F Didache Building, España Boulevard, Sampaloc, Manila
This is the perfect place to “walwal” with your friends, sabi ng mga nakapunta na dito. Accomodating din daw ang crew kaya naman good vibes lang talaga.
