Round Trip

Top Food trends of 2018

By: - 12/29/2018

THIS year is about to end, and the better way to conclude this is through our Round Trip best food trends na nakita namin na nakabusog sa maraming Pinoy.

Dahil nga sa sobrang daming nadiskubre at kinaadikan eventually ng mga Pinoy na mga masasarap na pagkain, we had a hard time narrowing them down.
Take a look at our list, and say kung nakasama ang paburito mo.

1
Milk tea

Did you really think that milk tea craze was gonna stop? Nope! Unti-unti nang napasama sa system ng mga Pinoy ang pag-inom ng milk tea dahil na rin
sa pagsulpot ng iba’t ibang brand na talagang pinipilahan ng mga Pinoy. Drink of choice din siya ng mga titos and titas when hanging out.

2
Mangoes

Have you been to malls lately and see a deluge of people lining up? Malamang ito ang pinipilahan nila. One brand in particular came from Davao and have concocted their own version with Grahams and cream. Mura at sulit din according to those who’ve tried.

3
Cheesecake-on-stick

We love cheesecakes. It’s like heaven, especially when you pair it with coffee. But when a certain food stall offered this on a stick dipped in chocolates, candy sprinkles, cookie crumbs at kung ano-ano pa lalo itong kinabaliwan. Instant hit!

4
Ramen

We can’t say for sure na ngayong 2018 lang nag-hit ang ramen. Have you noticed ang kabi-kabilang ramen house or Japanese restaurants na nag-o-offer ng ramen?

5
Takoyaki

A type of Japanese street food na kinaaliwan din ng Pinoy. Great for merienda and alternative sa usual siomai and sharksfin na pang-tawid gutom. Yum!

6
Samgyeopsal

Korean craze has captured us hindi lang sa K-Pop and K-drama kundi sa food din! Perfect bonding experience with friends and family din ito kung saan kayo mismo ang magluluto ng inyong kakainin.

7
Matcha

From ice cream, cakes to milk tea, this famous processed green tea leaves has conquered the Philippine shores this year. Not exactly sweet, bitter-mild and is usually paired with cream, matcha delights the Pinoy palette.

8
Coffee

Wait, why do we have coffee here? Every year kasi coffee shops and cafe comes up with unique twists and mixes that keep us coming back to our morning energizer. And who doesn’t love coffee?
