Record breaking: 5000 people lined up to help a child with cancer

HINDI napigilin ng ulan ang kulang-kulang 5000 tao para pumila at mag-alok ng tulong sa isang batang may cancer.

Napansin ng mga magulang ng limang taong gulang na si Oscar Saxelby-Lee na may mga kakaibang bruises na sumusulpot sa katawan ng kanilang anak.

Nang sila ay magpasuri sa doctor, nalaman nilang may T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia si Oscar, isang uri ng cancer na may mababang survival rate.

Oscar and his parents were given three months to look for a stem-cell donor to save the child’s life.

Desperate, his parents, Olivia Saxelby and Jamie Lee, of Worcester, UK, launched a campaign to help their son.

Tinawag na Hand in Hand for Oscar ang kanilang kampanya, isang plea para makahanap ng tamang donor para ma iligtas si Oscar.

Dumunog naman ang tulong at umabot sa 4855 na katao ang pumunta sa Pitmaston Primary School para pumila at magpatest. International news sites are calling it a record breaking donor drive.

Ayon sa FB page ng Hand in Hand for Oscar, sa lawak na ng reach ng kanilang campaign, ilang mga bansa tulad ng India, USA at maging sa Pilipinas ang kumokontak sa kanila para mag-alok ng tulong.
